Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a hands-on Lead Software Engineer for Real-Time Events, this full-time remote position will design, build, and operate the ZMP real-time events pipeline, focusing on ingesting, processing, and delivering high-volume event data.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and launch event-pipeline features in production while owning the architecture for the relevant sections
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to enhance cost, latency, and operational advantages
- Engage in architectural discussions, mentor team members, and collaborate with product and data teams to meet SLAs
Required Qualifications
- 8-10 years of software engineering experience, including Lead/Staff-level work on event, streaming, or data-infrastructure systems
- Production experience with event streaming technologies (e.g., Kafka), Python services, and pipeline processing tools (e.g., Spark)
- Proficiency in designing and operating systems on AWS
- Fluency in Python or substantial experience in Scala and Java
- Experience with data stores used in event pipelines (e.g., Postgres, Redis, DynamoDB)
