Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
To support a growing analytics team, the full-time Lead Software Engineer will design, develop, and maintain scalable Big Data and Cloud solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, code, test, document, and maintain high-quality Big Data and Cloud solutions
- Develop and implement analytics rules engines and define APIs for integration with various data sources
- Research and deploy new tools and frameworks to enhance the existing Big Data platform
Required qualifications:
- 12+ years of professional experience in Information Technology (IT)
- 8+ years of experience developing software solutions
- 5+ years of experience with Scala, Python, JSON, and Web Services
- 3+ years of experience developing solutions hosted in public cloud providers such as Azure or AWS
- 2+ years of experience with distributed systems technologies such as Spark, Databricks, or Hadoop
