Lead Software Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a Lead Software Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, this role will manage architecture and requirements validation for a proprietary claims administration system while providing subject matter expertise in healthcare payer workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the internal SME for payer/TPA workflows, translating complex business requirements into technical specifications
- Drive architecture and platform modernization, leading code reviews and mentoring mid-level developers
- Own requirements completeness, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure features meet payer-domain context before development
Required qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in a payer platform, TPA system, or claims administration software
- Hands-on experience with UB04 and CMS-1500 claim processing, COB rules, and utilization management workflows
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience with proficiency in C# / .NET or Java
- Strong experience with relational databases and REST APIs, familiar with Agile methodologies
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
