Lead Software Engineer in Test

Job Summary

Owning the test automation strategy, the full-time remote Lead Software Engineer in Test will design scalable automation frameworks, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, and mentor QA engineers to enhance the organization's delivery capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end test automation strategy across various testing layers and design scalable automation frameworks
• Champion a quality-focused engineering culture by leading exploratory testing practices and advocating for testable architecture
• Provide technical leadership through code reviews and mentorship, while continuously improving processes and tools

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• 5+ years in QA/test engineering, with 3+ years in a lead or senior automation role
• Hands-on experience designing and building automation frameworks and strong proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, TypeScript, or C#)
• Expertise with modern test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Jest, Selenium) and experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated experience using AI-powered tools for test automation and a strong understanding of TDD and BDD practices
