Lead Software Engineer - Java

Job Summary

Leading the development of secure backend services, the full-time remote Lead Software Engineer - Java will design and implement Java Spring Boot microservices for identity and access management, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive engineering best practices and enhance cloud-native services on AWS.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java Spring Boot microservices implementing OAuth 2.0 and OIDC protocols
• Lead architectural design sessions and produce technical documentation for new platform capabilities
• Collaborate with product managers and security architects to align on requirements and priorities

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering with Java and Spring Boot
• 3+ years of experience with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC / SAML 2.0 protocols
• 3+ years of experience designing and operating microservices on AWS
• 3+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Proven experience leading technical design and mentoring engineers on a team
