Lead Solution Architect

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time salaried Lead Solution Architect will serve as the principal technical connector for the SIO program, collaborating with CMS stakeholders to shape the technical landscape while aligning security, enterprise architecture, and shared solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for CMS, translating mission needs into a forward-looking technical roadmap
• Identify and align decisions across security, enterprise architecture, and shared solutions to ensure cohesive action across teams
• Advise program leadership on technology trends and architectural tradeoffs, fostering trust-based relationships with CMS stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred
• 12+ years of experience in solution architecture or systems engineering, with a focus on advising non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working with government or enterprise clients on strategic technology direction
• Strong knowledge of cloud-based architecture and security-by-design principles
• Familiarity with innovation governance models and interoperability standards relevant to CMS/CCSQ systems
