Lead Solution Architect

Job Summary

Partnering with CMS stakeholders, the full-time remote Lead Solution Architect will serve as the principal technical connector for the SIO program, aligning security, enterprise architecture, and shared solutions while shaping the future technology landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical point of contact for CMS, translating mission needs into a technical roadmap
• Identify and align decisions across security, enterprise architecture, and shared solutions to drive practical actions
• Advise program leadership on technology trends and architectural tradeoffs, fostering trust-based relationships with stakeholders

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline; Master's degree preferred
• 12+ years of experience in solution architecture or systems engineering, with a focus on government or enterprise clients
• Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Experience in regulated environments, preferably with CMS
• Working knowledge of cloud-based architecture and modern delivery practices such as Agile and DevSecOps
