Lead Space Situational Awareness Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Space Situational Awareness Domain Engineer to support System Integration and Cloud Management of the NOAA Traffic Coordination System for Space.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the Lead SSA Engineer for the TraCSS System Integration and Cloud Management team
• Provide expert knowledge in the space situational awareness domain to the TraCSS team
• Understand various data types related to satellite ephemerides and processes for orbital determination

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or engineering with 12 years of relevant experience; a Master's degree can substitute for 2 years, and a PhD can substitute for another 2 years
• Experience in supporting SSA operations and system development
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams in high-availability, mission-critical environments
