Lead Studies Engineer
Job Summary
Focused on supporting dynamic power system studies, the full-time Lead Studies Engineer will develop and test renewable energy models, perform dynamic system studies, and collaborate with clients on interconnection applications in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop PSSE, PSLF, TSAT, and PSCAD models of renewable plants and conduct model quality tests
- Support interconnection applications, including preliminary plant design and system studies
- Stay updated on regulatory changes and collaborate with clients to address design needs and feedback
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited program
- 7-10 years of experience in power systems, with at least 3 years directly related to dynamic analysis
- Experience with PSCAD, PSLF, and TSAT modeling
- Familiarity with transmission system operators and regulatory compliance standards
- Programming experience in Python is preferred
