Lead Subawards Officer
Job Summary
Managing outgoing subawards for externally funded grants, the full-time Lead Subawards Officer will process, negotiate, issue, and track various types of subawards while collaborating with university partners and ensuring compliance with regulations in a remote work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and resolve issues related to sponsored project subcontracting activities
- Consult with university officials and provide expertise on regulatory and policy issues related to outgoing subawards
- Draft, negotiate, and execute subaward agreements while maintaining a database to track their status
Required qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- 5-7 years' experience managing and monitoring subawards agreements in a university setting
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to sponsored program agreements
- Strong contract negotiation skills
- Excellent computer skills in MS 365 applications
