Lead Subcontracts Manager

Job Summary

Leading full life cycle subcontract management for multiple Federal Defense programs, the full-time Lead Subcontracts Manager will ensure compliance with contract requirements, develop and negotiate subcontract agreements, and interface with internal and external stakeholders, with the potential for up to 95% telework.

Key responsibilities

• Create subcontract solicitations based on customer requirements and analyze price proposals using cost analysis techniques
• Negotiate terms and conditions with subcontractors, identifying complex problems and recommending mitigation strategies
• Assist in coaching junior staff on policies and best practices while maintaining strong relationships with suppliers for effective problem resolution

Required qualifications

• BA degree with 8-12 years or Master's degree with 6-10 years of relevant experience; additional experience may substitute for degree
• Must be a U.S. Citizen with experience in negotiating terms and managing various subcontract types
• Advanced knowledge of the FAR and DFAR regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
