Lead Substation Designer
Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Lead Substation Designer, the full-time remote position will manage the development of complex power delivery drawing packages, including 3D modeling using Revit or AutoCAD, while supporting Electrical Substation Project Engineers throughout the project lifecycle.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop detailed substation layouts and drawings from Single Line Diagrams and sketches
- Coordinate with various disciplines to complete complex drawing packages with minimal supervision
- Implement BIM strategies and manage BIM information data for accuracy throughout the project lifecycle
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering technology
- Minimum 7 years of HV Substation physical design experience
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes, US Utility substation design standards, and HV equipment
- Extensive experience with Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD 3D, and BIM standards such as ISO 19650
- Demonstrated MCAD skills and familiarity with various 3D engineering design tools
