Lead Substation Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a seasoned Lead Substation Engineer with over 15 years of experience in substation design and commissioning, this full-time remote role requires in-office and field presence as needed, focusing on providing technical leadership, collaborating with teams, and overseeing construction progress.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on substation projects, emphasizing protection and control
• Collaborate with engineering, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure project alignment with scope and schedule
• Review engineering design packages and monitor construction progress for compliance with design requirements and safety standards

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) is required
• 15+ years of experience in substation design and commissioning with a strong understanding of protection and control
• Demonstrated ability to interface effectively across engineering, construction, and commissioning disciplines
• Strong working knowledge of substation equipment, protection schemes, schematics, and commissioning protocols
