Job Summary
Supporting the Decennial Transformation and Application Modernization (DTAM) project for the U.S. Census Bureau, the full-time Lead Systems Architect will provide technical and management leadership for cloud-native platforms, DevSecOps practices, and scalable application modernization strategies in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical and management leadership for major system and technology initiatives
- Establish project goals, technical strategies, and execution plans aligned with DTAM objectives
- Oversee application architecture, modernization, testing, operations, and cloud migration activities
Required qualifications
- 10-14 years of relevant systems architecture or enterprise architecture experience
- Experience leading major technology assignments and serving as a technical expert
- Strong knowledge of application architecture and design oversight principles
- Experience with DevSecOps integration and cloud migration activities
- Hands-on experience with microservices, API-based, and containerized architectures
