Lead Systems Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Install, tune, upgrade, troubleshoot, and maintain computer systems relevant to supported applications
• Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems and support root cause analysis
• Evaluate new systems through in-depth testing and research for recommendations and purchasing

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience
• 8 years of experience in overseeing design, development, and implementation of software systems
• Broad experience with IBM MQ Administration on UNIX and z/OS platforms
• Extensive knowledge in configuring and managing MQ queue managers and security
• Advanced UNIX/Linux skills, including the ability to write/edit UNIX shell scripts
