Lead Systems Engineer

Job Summary

To support system architecture and integration, the full-time Lead Systems Engineer will define, design, and develop system requirements while performing system administration, troubleshooting, and mentoring team members in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, tune, upgrade, and maintain computer systems relevant to supported applications, including operating system administration and networking configuration
• Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems and conduct root cause analysis for incidents
• Evaluate new systems through in-depth testing and research to support recommendations and determine systems integration issues

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years of experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications
• ITIL Foundations v3 certification preferred within 180 days of hire
• Knowledge of programming languages and web-based technologies
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
