Lead Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Providing technical and management leadership, the full-time Lead Systems Engineer will oversee end-to-end systems engineering and integrated solution delivery for the Decennial Transformation and Application Modernization initiative, working in a hybrid environment with on-site visits as required.

Key responsibilities

• Direct large-scale systems engineering and modernization initiatives, ensuring alignment with program objectives
• Manage the full lifecycle delivery process, including requirements, design, development, integration, testing, and deployment
• Interface with client stakeholders and senior leadership on technical direction and delivery status

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (advanced degree preferred)
• 15+ years of experience in systems engineering, architecture, or enterprise modernization programs
• Proven experience in leading large-scale federal IT programs and managing cross-functional technical teams
• Strong background in the full system development lifecycle within complex environments
• Experience interfacing with clients and senior stakeholders, including technical negotiations
