Lead Systems Engineer - zOS

Job Summary

To support system design and integration, the full-time Lead Systems Engineer - zOS will manage the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer systems while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Install, tune, upgrade, and maintain computer systems relevant to supported applications, including operating system administration and disaster recovery
• Develop and implement techniques to prevent system problems and troubleshoot incidents to recover services
• Evaluate new systems through in-depth testing and research to support recommendations and ensure systems integration

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or Computer Science, or 4 additional years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
• 8 years of experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications
• Deep knowledge of BMC ControlM architecture and strong knowledge of IBM z/OS batch processing
• Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) and dataset management
• Familiarity with REXX scripting and ControlM Automation API (REST) is highly preferred
