Lead Test Engineer

Job Summary

As a permanent full-time remote opportunity for candidates based in the UK, the Lead Test Engineer will ensure the quality and reliability of software solutions by embedding testing throughout the software development lifecycle and collaborating with development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Define and implement structured testing practices, including both automated and manual testing strategies
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites using Python and Pytest
• Ensure test processes are integrated into CI/CD pipelines for continuous quality assurance

Required qualifications

• At least 8 years of commercial experience at a Lead/Staff Engineer level
• Deep knowledge of automation testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Mocha, and Chai
• Practical experience developing automation testing frameworks for scalable software solutions
• Strong understanding of Python and Pytest
• Experience working in an Agile development environment
