Lead Transmission Line Engineer

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the full-time Lead Transmission Line Engineer will design transmission lines ranging from 69kV to 765kV, mentor junior engineers, and ensure compliance with specifications and client requirements while working onsite.

Key responsibilities

• Design and oversee the development of transmission line projects, ensuring adherence to engineering standards
• Mentor and train less experienced design team members to enhance their skills and knowledge
• Prepare technical reports and perform independent reviews of work, including calculations and design drawings

Required qualifications

• BS degree from an ABET-accredited engineering program
• 10 or more years of transmission design experience
• Proficiency with PLS-CADD software
• Experience in preparing scopes of work and conceptual designs for transmission lines up to 500kV
• Knowledge of engineering standards such as NESC, IEC, and IEEE
