Job Summary

A company is looking for a Lead Underwriting Consultant to manage the underwriting of large complex life applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyzes data to provide risk selection approvals and prepares related reports
• Evaluates life insurance applications focusing on medical and financial risk assessment
• Participates in business planning and recommends changes to improve productivity and profitability

Required Qualifications

• College degree required; equivalent work experience in life underwriting may be considered
• FLMI, FALU, and ACS designations or current coursework toward earning certificates required
• 7-10 years of underwriting experience required
• Highly developed knowledge of underwriting functions and insurance products
• Strong knowledge of medical science, technology, and financial underwriting factors
