Job Summary
Owning the speed and efficiency of the web platform, the full-time Lead Web Performance Engineer will set the technical direction for web performance, optimize rendering and load times, and implement caching strategies in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility for load times, rendering performance, and runtime efficiency across the web platform
- Define the architecture, standards, and tooling for performance optimization
- Design and maintain caching architectures to minimize latency and maximize cache hit rates
Required qualifications
- Deep experience in web performance engineering at significant scale
- Strong expertise in rendering, caching, CDN configuration, and Core Web Vitals
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript with an understanding of browser engines and network interactions
- Experience with real user monitoring and synthetic performance testing
- Technical leadership experience in influencing performance practices across engineering teams
