Lead Web Platform Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a hands-on Lead Web Platform Engineer to manage and optimize the WordPress environment, design a future-state architecture, and ensure seamless digital experiences for a nonprofit organization, all in a full-time remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Stabilize and optimize the current WordPress platform, enhancing performance and security
• Architect the next generation of the website platform, including the design of a headless CMS
• Establish platform governance and standards for publishing, monitoring, and documentation

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience owning/administering a CMS/web platform in production
• Strong WordPress experience and hands-on AWS experience for PHP/WordPress workloads
• Experience with payment gateways and webhook/API integrations
• Proven experience maintaining data integrations, preferably with Salesforce
• Strong grounding in web security and compliance considerations
