Job Summary
To support the Appalachian Mountain Club's mission, the seasonal, part-time Learning and Development Specialist will facilitate engaging training experiences for staff and volunteers, document outdoor leadership training processes, and track participation data while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and co-facilitate pre-designed training sessions for staff and volunteers, both virtually and in person
- Document the current state of outdoor leadership training by partnering with Chapter Volunteer Communities to gather insights and map volunteer growth
- Collect and maintain organized records of attendance, feedback, and engagement data from training sessions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in education, training, outdoor recreation, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience facilitating training programs
- Confidence in facilitating groups with a clear and engaging presence
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
