Learning Support Specialist

Job Summary

Facilitating student learning in a remote environment, the part-time Learning Support Specialist will support academic content and promote effective study strategies through 1:1 and group sessions, while building asynchronous learning resources.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an assigned weekly appointment schedule and engage in video conferences with students to enhance academic skills
• Develop and facilitate group sessions in high-need content areas, such as math or writing, to support skill building
• Build resources for the Academic Resource Center based on student demand and collaborate with team members on content creation

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of experience in facilitating adult learning experiences
• Current expertise in a high-need content area such as general math, business, or IT/STEM
• Reliable hard-wired internet access and a quiet work environment
• Availability for night and weekend shifts based on business needs
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
