Leave of Absence Specialist

Job Summary

Engaging with team members and leave vendors, the full-time Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist will manage the ADA interactive process, coordinate accommodations, and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations in a remote capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the ADA/ADAAA interactive process network-wide, managing documentation and acting as a liaison between team members and leadership
• Coordinate and facilitate the return-to-work process, including managing leave statuses and accommodation requests
• Stay current with changes to regulations and laws, ensuring compliance and effective communication with all stakeholders involved

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources with knowledge of ADA laws and the interactive process
• Experience managing both union and non-union employees
• Proven ability to build collaborative relationships and deliver key messages across all organizational levels
• Working knowledge of HR systems and software support products
