Leave of Absence Specialist

Job Summary

Working remotely on a full-time basis, the Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist will engage with team members and leave vendors to manage the interactive process for accommodation requests related to work restrictions, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the ADA/ADAAA interactive process and manage documentation for all claims network-wide
• Act as a liaison between team members, department leaders, and leave vendors to coordinate accommodation requests and return-to-work processes
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations to ensure compliance and facilitate effective accommodations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources with knowledge of ADA laws and the interactive process
• Experience working with both union and non-union employees
• Proven ability to deliver key messages and build collaborative relationships within a large organization
• Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills
