Leave of Absence Specialist

Job Summary

Engaging with team members and leave vendors, the full-time Leave of Absence and Accommodation Specialist will manage the interactive process for accommodation requests, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws while operating remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the ADA/ADAAA interactive process network-wide for all team members and leaders
• Coordinate and facilitate the return-to-work process and manage documentation of ADA/ADAAA claims
• Act as a liaison among team members, department leaders, and Leave of Absence providers to determine appropriate accommodations

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Human Resources with knowledge of ADA and leave laws
• Experience working with both union and non-union employees
• Proven ability to deliver key messages and build collaborative relationships within a large organization
• Working knowledge of HR systems and software support products
