Job Summary
Managing all leave of absence and job accommodation processes for a workforce of approximately 3,300 employees, the full-time Leave Specialist will oversee FMLA, ADA accommodations, and various leave programs while ensuring compliance and effective communication, working remotely from specified states.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding leave-related matters
- Administer and manage all phases of FMLA, including coordination with STD/LTD claims and payroll processes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws while maintaining accurate case documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field and 2-3 years of leave/accommodation experience, or 3+ years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or large hourly workforce setting
- Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, USERRA, and state leave laws
- Experience in managing intermittent leave and return-to-work processes
- Proficiency with UKG timekeeping systems and case management tools, along with strong Excel skills
- Ability to manage high case volumes and maintain confidentiality while being detail-oriented and organized
