Job Summary
A company is looking for a Legal Coordinator to support student placement, enrollment, and legal compliance across programs serving students on the autism spectrum.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local special education laws, including IDEA and FAPE
- Prepare, issue, track, and manage enrollment contracts and maintain accurate student files
- Collaborate with various departments and external legal partners regarding placements and due process matters
Qualifications
- Legal, admissions, or compliance experience within a special education or related educational setting required
- Experience working with both referral and non-referral schools; ABA school experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of IEPs, evaluations, and special education documentation
- Familiarity with IDEA, FAPE, and the Impartial Hearing process
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or paralegal certification a plus
