Legal Fund Operations Specialist
Job Summary
To support the operational needs of venture funds, the full-time remote Legal Fund Operations Specialist will manage onboarding, capital calls, deal execution, and reporting, leveraging legal expertise to navigate complex transaction documents and ensure seamless operations.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the operational engine for a portfolio of venture funds, handling tasks from onboarding to reporting
- Facilitate communication and problem-solving for clients, ensuring timely responses to KYC and document-related issues
- Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback and improve operational workflows based on client interactions
Required qualifications
- Legal background with a law degree or equivalent legal training, comfortable with transaction documents such as LPAs and subscription agreements
- Experience in a startup or operational environment, demonstrating a proactive approach to unblocking issues
- Strong responsiveness and ownership of tasks, with a commitment to closing loops the same day
- Fluency in written and spoken English; proficiency in German and knowledge of EU or US fund structures is a plus
- Familiarity with AI tools and a mindset geared towards leveraging technology for operational efficiency
