Legal Fund Operations Specialist
Job Summary
To support the operational needs of venture funds, the full-time remote Forward Deployed Fund Operator will manage client onboarding, deal execution, and capital calls, leveraging their legal training to navigate complex transaction documents and ensure timely outcomes.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee the operational engine of a small portfolio of venture funds, handling tasks from onboarding to reporting
- Facilitate communication and problem-solving between GPs and LPs, ensuring smooth KYC processes and timely deal closures
- Provide feedback to improve platform functionality based on client interactions and operational insights
Required qualifications
- Legal background with a law degree or equivalent legal training and comfort with transaction documents
- Experience in operational roles within startups or venture funds, demonstrating a proactive approach to unblocking issues
- Strong ownership and responsiveness, with the ability to close loops and manage tasks efficiently
- Fluency in AI tools and understanding of how to leverage technology in operational processes
- Fluent written and spoken English; proficiency in German and experience with EU or US fund structures is a plus
