Legal Knowledge Expert Coder
Job Summary
To support AI training initiatives, the part-time temporary Legal Knowledge Expert Coder will provide domain expertise, develop annotation guidelines, and evaluate the quality of AI training data while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Guide research teams to enhance AI model performance and close knowledge gaps within legal specialties
- Create and maintain high-quality annotation guidelines to ensure accurate vendor annotations
- Evaluate and grade annotation quality, providing feedback for continuous improvement
Required qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent in a law-related field (LL.B / J.D., LL.M, LL.D)
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in legal practice, teaching, or related roles
- Proficiency in coding with a focus on Python or other programming languages
- Experience with AI tools, particularly Claude code
- Strong analytical abilities and experience in quality assurance processes
