Job Summary
A company is looking for a Legal Officer for Public Health Legal Program.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and analyze sub-national Ethiopian legislative instruments for consistency and coordination within national law and IHR requirements
- Prepare a comprehensive report on the sub-national legal framework regarding IHR implementation, identifying gaps and formulating recommendations
- Support the development of IHR tools, checklists, and publications for the global legal team
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Ethiopian legislative affairs related to policies and legislation
- Familiarity with International Health Regulations (2005) and public health issues
- Familiarity with national government structure and functions relating to public health
- Qualified Ethiopian lawyer
- Master of Laws or related qualification, preferably in public health laws and policies
