Legal Project Manager
Job Summary
Partnering with attorneys and business professionals, the hybrid Legal Project Manager will drive matter efficiency and financial performance while managing budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Developing and managing matter budgets, forecasts, and financial plans
- Monitoring financial performance, including budget-to-actual results, WIP, realization, and collections
- Collaborating with attorneys to manage scope, staffing, financial risks, and client expectations
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; JD or MBA strongly preferred
- 5+ years of experience in legal project management, legal finance, or law firm financial operations
- Experience developing matter budgets and financial performance reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with law firm financial systems such as Aderant or Elite
- Strong proficiency with Power BI, data analysis, and financial modeling tools
