Job Summary

Skilled in legal transcript review, the contract Legal Proofreader will work remotely to ensure accuracy and quality of deposition and legal transcripts by providing detailed feedback and adhering to strict deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Review transcripts for accuracy, grammar, punctuation, formatting, and consistency while providing constructive feedback to editors
• Meet all assigned deadlines and acknowledge receipt of proofreading assignments promptly
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all information and materials entrusted to you throughout the proofreading process

Required qualifications

• Experience proofreading legal deposition transcripts
• Experience proofing to audio
• Understanding of the parts of a legal transcript, including formatting and styles
• Ability to adhere to an established style guide
• Good communication skills for collaboration with internal teams
