Legal Review Specialist
Job Summary
To support federally funded healthcare programs, the part-time Legal Review Specialist will provide regulatory and legal analysis, review appeal determinations, and evaluate documentation for legal sufficiency while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Review appeal determinations and supporting materials for legal and regulatory sufficiency
- Analyze complex Medicare policy and regulatory issues related to appeals
- Advise internal stakeholders on the interpretation of Medicare statutes and federal regulations
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school preferred or Bachelor's degree required
- Seven or more years of experience in Medicare, healthcare regulatory compliance, or federal healthcare programs
- Experience with Medicare statutes and CMS adjudicatory processes
