Legal Translator and Editor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Legal Translator, Editor, and Transcriber specializing in Slavic languages.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate, edit, and transcribe legal documents and audio files between a foreign language and English
• Edit audio transcriptions and legal documents while ensuring accuracy in legal terminology
• Review and certify the quality of translations and edits performed by other translators

Required Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and willingness to undergo a government background check for Public Trust Clearance
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal translation and/or editing
• At least 3 years of experience in audio transcription
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CAT tools, such as SDL Trados
