Legal Translator - ATA Certified

Job Summary

To support a growing team, the remote Legal Translator - ATA Certified will provide written translation, editing, and proofreading services from English into their native language, ensuring adherence to legal terminology and project guidelines on a contract basis.

Key responsibilities

• Provide purely human written translations using a Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tool while adhering to project instructions and glossaries
• Perform language quality checks to ensure error-free translations that accurately reflect the source document's meaning
• Communicate professionally with team members and participate in quality management processes, ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information

Required qualifications

• ATA Certified or DSHS LTC Certified in the target language pair
• Two years of experience providing written translations to U.S. state courts and judicial offices
• Demonstrated expertise in legal terminology and judicial procedures
• Fluency in English and the target language
• Experience using modern CAT tools and proficiency with Adobe Acrobat for document formatting and markup
