Legal Translator Contractor

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Linguist - U.S. Citizen - LEGAL translator, editor, or transcriber - 1099 contractors - Remote.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform legal translation services for a United States Government client
• Utilize knowledge of legal and technical terms in English and the source language
• Complete assignments as needed during standard business hours (9-5 EST)

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience providing professional language services to governmental clients
• Extensive legal language service experience is required
• Bachelor's degree in a foreign language, linguistics, or a comparable field
• Proficiency in using CAT tools, with preference for experience using Trados
• Advanced proficiency in English and the target foreign language(s)
