Job Summary
Supporting NOAA, the temporary hybrid/remote Legislative Analyst will coordinate Congressional liaison efforts, oversee external communications for satellite programs, and assist in drafting materials for budget releases and Congressional hearings.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate with NESDIS program offices to draft and edit responses to Congressional inquiries and prepare briefing materials
- Monitor external communications to Congress for a portfolio of satellite programs and support leadership clearance of responses
- Track and analyze appropriations and authorization legislation while assisting in the preparation of Congressional hearing materials
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 2-4 years of experience in legislative analysis or a related area
- Experience with Congressional liaison and communication processes
- Ability to draft and edit technical and scientific documents
- Familiarity with budget processes and appropriations legislation
