Library Systems Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the National Agricultural Library, the full-time remote Library Systems Engineer will manage the Ex Libris Alma Library Services Platform and Python data pipelines, ensuring system stability and compliance while executing configuration changes and monitoring workflows.
Key responsibilities
- Configure, secure, and maintain Alma platform roles, permissions, and integrations while monitoring job workflows
- Maintain and enhance Python pipelines for automated data processing and system synchronization
- Execute change management processes, including impact analysis, testing, deployment, and documentation
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Computer Science, or a related technical field
- Four years of related experience, including administration of the Ex Libris Alma platform
- Experience with Python-based workflow automation and troubleshooting data flow issues
- Familiarity with metadata standards and Alma's metadata tooling
- Ability to pass a federal background investigation and complete required security training
