Licensed Appeal Writer - NY

Job Summary

Supporting client hospitals remotely, the Licensed Appeal Writer - NY will review denied insurance claims, analyze medical files, and create appeal letters while managing workflow based on deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Review denied insurance claims and patients' medical files
• Develop strategies to reverse claim denials and create written appeals
• Manage and organize appeal workflow according to internal and client-based deadlines

Required qualifications

• 4-year degree or work equivalency required
• Active license as a Physician's Assistant (PA), Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Physical Therapist (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), or equivalent
• Ability to prioritize workload based on strict deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tech-savvy with new software
• High level of reading comprehension and ability to analyze medical information and terminology
