Licensed Assessment Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting hospital functions remotely, the full-time Licensed Assessment Specialist will conduct level of care assessments for patients in acute mental health crises, collaborating with clinical staff and ensuring compliance with confidentiality guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to assessment requests promptly, ensuring timely evaluations within established guidelines
• Coordinate communication with hospital staff and stakeholders for thorough patient assessments and safety planning
• Document detailed risk assessments and safety plan recommendations in the patient's electronic health record (EHR)

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mental Healthcare
• Licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMHC) in the state of residence
• Preferably 2 years of experience in a behavioral/mental healthcare setting performing clinical duties, including assessments
• Proficient in navigating technology solutions and telehealth platforms
• Knowledge of state mental health laws and compliance requirements
