Licensed Assessment Specialist

Job Summary

To support hospital functions within the emergency department and inpatient medical units, the full-time Licensed Assessment Specialist will provide level of care assessments and recommendations for patients in acute mental health crises while working remotely as part of a centralized team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to assessment requests and coordinate communication necessary for thorough evaluations
• Complete detailed risk assessments and safety plan recommendations within electronic health records
• Engage with patients remotely via tele-video platforms and collaborate with hospital departments during the patient admission and discharge process

Required qualifications

• Master's Degree in Mental Healthcare
• Licensure as a mental health professional (e.g., LCSW, LPC, LMHC)
• Preferred 2 years of experience in a behavioral/mental healthcare setting performing clinical duties
• Knowledge of current behavioral health concepts and treatment methods
• Ability to navigate multiple technology solutions effectively
