Licensed Asset Resolution Counsel

Job Summary

Leading the legal strategy for a portfolio of non-performing commercial loans, the full-time remote Licensed Asset Resolution Counsel will manage resolution efforts, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and ensure compliance while maximizing recoveries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a non-performing real estate collateralized commercial loan portfolio, including REO, toward effective resolution
• Supervise, train, and develop Asset Resolution Department staff while conducting proactive portfolio management
• Negotiate settlement agreements and monitor litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure activities to support loss mitigation efforts

Required qualifications

• Law degree from a nationally accredited U.S. law school preferred
• Experience in commercial litigation, bankruptcy, foreclosure, and real estate loss mitigation
• Proven track record in managing non-performing loan (NPL) pools and REO portfolios
• Experience supervising and mentoring case management staff
• Familiarity with litigation management tools and experience working for a U.S.-based company
