Job Summary
Providing legal counsel on complex matters, the full-time Licensed Assistant General Counsel will lead a defined portfolio of legal issues, support corporate governance and compliance initiatives, and collaborate with various stakeholders in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advice on corporate, transactional, regulatory, and compliance matters, including drafting legal opinions
- Lead contracting matters, including negotiation and dispute resolution of vendor/provider agreements
- Manage litigation and dispute resolution activities while building relationships with business leaders and external stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited college/university
- Seven (7) years of legal, regulatory, or compliance experience
- Preferred experience in a law firm or in-house corporate legal department
- Strongly preferred experience in healthcare and/or managed care law, particularly government programs
- Demonstrated experience supporting complex regulatory environments and business operations
