Licensed Associate General Counsel

Job Summary

Leading litigation strategy in a remote capacity, the full-time Licensed Associate General Counsel will manage Motive's litigation function, develop and drive litigation strategy, and collaborate with various internal teams to protect the company's interests and advance its business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of Motive's products and serve as a trusted advisor on contentious and strategic matters
• Drive litigation strategy by identifying and pursuing claims and counterclaims that align with business goals
• Manage and develop the litigation team, shaping the structure and priorities of the litigation function

Required qualifications

• US-licensed attorney with 10+ years of relevant litigation experience, preferably from a top-tier litigation firm
• Expertise in complex IP, trade secret, and competitor-related disputes with a proven track record
• Significant trial experience, including motions, witness examination, and argument
• Experience managing outside counsel and litigation budgets in a public company setting
• Strong judgment and executive presence with the ability to influence stakeholders across the business
