Licensed Attorney

Job Summary

Providing legal support for financing solar developers and projects, the full-time Licensed Attorney will work remotely to facilitate transactions across 28 emerging markets in Africa and Asia, collaborating with international counsel and internal teams on documentation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Work with international counsel to facilitate transactions and ensure documentation meets required terms
• Liaise with relationship managers, risk, and finance departments for compliance and documentation accuracy
• Interact with local counsel and counterparties on various legal agreements and enforcement actions

Required qualifications

• Qualified attorney with 5 to 7 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an international law firm and in-house at a financial institution
• Strong experience in project finance, developer finance, or structured finance transactions in emerging markets
• Familiarity with English law governed documentation and its enforcement in African jurisdictions
• Experience with intercreditor arrangements, security packages, and structured financing instruments
• Demonstrated interest in impact investing and development-oriented finance
