Job Summary
Providing strategic legal counsel for merchant client teams, the full-time Licensed Attorney for Merchant Services will manage commercial agreements, regulatory compliance, and risk mitigation while collaborating with various business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary legal support for GMNS business teams, focusing on commercial contracting and risk management
- Draft, negotiate, and advise on complex commercial agreements with strategic merchants in the U.S
- Advise on compliance frameworks for public sector entities and support the government merchant portfolio
Required qualifications
- J.D. with admission to practice law in the U.S
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in a law firm and/or in-house corporate legal environment
- Significant experience in drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Experience in the payments industry and merchant acquiring space (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience with government contracting and compliance requirements (preferred)
